Raspberry Dessert Glaze

3 cups frozen raspberries*

1/3 cup maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp lemon juice

2 tsp arrowroot powder

1 tbsp water



Place raspberries, maple syrup, vanilla and lemon juice in a sauce pan. Cook on medium heat until raspberries start to melt. Remove from heat and put through a food mill to remove seeds if you want a smooth glaze. *You can leave the seeds if want - it won't change the flavor.

Put the sauce back in the pan, and turn to medium heat.

In a small cup, mix arrowroot with water and stir to combine. Add into the sauce and stir until thickened.


*You can absolutely use fresh raspberries. I use frozen because I keep them on hand for when raspberries aren't in season.
